The eCommerce Marketing Manager owns our digital marketing practice and is empowered to deploy the tools and personnel to achieve our online and offline goals using email marketing, search marketing, and other platforms to keep our digital business moving forward.


You will directly manage a team of three digital marketers who plan and execute our email and search programs, and you will work hand-in-hand with peers on the eCommerce team to ensure a smooth experience from marketing to site (landing pages, usability, personalization, and conversion strategies).

  • Manages all online traffic-driving initiatives'primarily our email marketing and Pay Per Click marketing channels
  • Sets strategies and parameters for using our powerful digital marketing personalization and targeting engine to create highly relevant marketing experiences for different customers
  • Acts as the lead eCommerce liaison to our marketing and product departments to develop consistent and innovative marketing strategies that support their objectives.
  • Works with a Scrum team to set the schedule and priority for all on-site marketing initiatives
  • Builds initiatives focused on acquisition and retention (vs. simply merchandising)
  • Partners with eCommerce peers to design and execute the launch of additional web storefronts as the business expands into new markets.
  • Uses analytics to analyze marketing and customer KPIs, industry trends, and competitive marketplace to implement and refine our online marketing priorities.



Education:  4-year degree required and business or marketing-related degree preferred; graduate degree preferred.


Experience:  At least 5 years of practical experience managing a digital/online marketing practice supporting a consumer or B2B commerce channel.



Specialized Training/Skills: 

  • Extremely well-versed in email marketing programs and/or email marketing service platforms
  • Experience with email subscriber list management and multivariate testing concepts
  • Experience with search engine marketing practices including Pay Per Click, Product Listing Ads, Remarketing/Retargeting, and SEO, including applicable experience with copywriting, research, and analytics for those programs
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large body of digital marketing campaigns while setting key deliverable dates for both internal and external resources
  • Comfortable in a role that both supports and relies on a wide range of internal customers
  • Comfortable with marketing data analysis and building comprehensive performance reports for our campaigns (and presenting results to several parts of the organization to help steer future initiatives)
  • Basic HTML experience strongly recommended (CSS, tables, divs, etc.)
